UV-B5 is the winner by 1 vote! The appeal of the eXtra knob on the top to change frequency, or channel, is what must make this model the most popular, manufacturers note! Surprisingly there were no votes for the small pocket sized UV-3R, or the budget UHF 16 channel BF888? |

UV-B5 is just a well built model that does what it says on the tin. The 888 has been surpassed by its successor, the superior UB-A5, which can be had for £15 inc. shipping, but why pay that for a single band unit with no display?
The UV-3R is nice, but if you could only have one radio, it wouldn't be that.
